INTRODUCTION
How can I see success at learning and using Hoocąk?
The Ho-Chunk Waaziija Haci Language Division has been offering Hoocąk language courses since its establishment in 1993. Tribal elders taught the language to the generation whose first language was English before 1993. We have all had some experience learning the Hoocąk language.
This course aims to help us understand what it takes to learn a language as a second language learner, which is very different from being taught as an infant or a toddler. It culminates in you creating a language learning plan that will help you create language learning goals.
